ABOUT OUR FOUNDERS

Alex Vainshelboim, Ph.D. was most recently Director of Research and Development for Aveda, a division of Estee Lauder. Prior to that, Dr. Vainshelboim worked for L’Oreal and was a professor of textile chemistry at Drexel. Dr. Vainshelboim has conducted and supervised a broad range hair color, fragrance, skin care and cosmetic research and development, participated in all types of new product testing (stability/micro/test market/etc.) Dr. Vainshelboim has over twenty years of experience in research and product development in the areas of personal care, cosmetics, hair sciences, hair color, skin and hair care, human censes, perfumery, polymers and chemistry of dyes. Recipient of various academic and industrial achievement awards has published over 60 papers and patents. In the past has served various leading Research and Development positions at Redken, L’Oreal, Lipo Chemicals. Conducted research and development, participated in testing, claims substantiation and launch of the following industry known brands, product lines and materials : Shades EQ™ (1995), Redken, Preference™ (1996), L’Oreal; Color Current Aveda™ (2002), Pure Tones Aveda™ and many other current products well known on the market.
